Summary of educational activities for children of the older group (5 - 6 years old) on artistic and aesthetic development (application) on the lexical topic “Wild Animals”, called “Red Squirrel”.
Lesson notes on visual arts (application). Aimed at cognitive and socio-communicative development. Educational field, direction:
“Artistic and aesthetic development”;
visual activity – appliqué. Pedagogical goals:
to consolidate the ability to work with paper, to introduce children to a new technique of working with paper “tearing”;
develop fine motor skills, accuracy when working with glue, cultivate patience when completing a task. Types of activities:
gaming, communication, self-service and basic household work, visual arts, cognitive research, speech.
Means of implementation:
plot pictures with the image of a squirrel, squirrel templates for each child, cotton wool, glue, colored paper.
Stage 1 – motivational.
We invite you to solve the riddle: A little red animal is jumping and jumping through the trees.
He lives not on the ground, but on a tree in a hollow. A red tail here and there suddenly flashed through the bushes, a girl looked after her, she knows this...... (Squirrel). The teacher shows the children a picture of a squirrel. The teacher shows the children a toy squirrel. - Guys, the squirrel is bored alone, let's make friends for her. Stage 2 – organizational.
The teacher shows pictures of a squirrel. — Guys, why do people say “fluffy tail” and “sharp teeth” about a squirrel? Because the squirrel has a big fluffy tail, and the squirrel cracks nuts with its sharp teeth.

Together with the children, we select a home for each animal: Fox lives in .....hole, Bear lives in .....den, Bird in ......nest, Wolf in .....den, Hare under ...bush, Squirrel in ....hollow.
Together with the children, we look at the image of a squirrel: - what kind of fur does a squirrel have? (soft, short) - what kind of tail? (large, fluffy) - what kind of head, eyes? (round, round black eyes) - what kind of ears? (long, in winter they have pronounced tassels). What do squirrels eat? (Mushrooms, nuts, acorns). Physical exercise:
The squirrel was jumping and jumping.
(Children jumping on the spot) By winter, the pantries were filled: (Bends over - as if they were collecting something) Here are nuts, (Turn to the right) Here is a mushroom (Turn to the left) For sons and daughters. We explain the technique of doing the work: first, carefully and carefully lubricate the area on the sheet with glue and tear off small pieces of colored paper and glue them onto the sheet. Apply cotton wool to the tip of the tail and ears. (We turn on music for a creative atmosphere). Stage 3 – Reflection.
At the end of the lesson we make an exhibition of works. We thank the children for making many friends for our squirrel. We invite you to consider all the works, select the most interesting ones, and explain your choice. Encouraging children to clean their places.

Selection of materials

You can choose whatever you want to get the job done. We will look at several options for making a squirrel applique. For the simplest things you will need the following materials:

• Colored paper.
• Scissors.
• Glue.
• Blue or green cardboard.
• Stencils.

Our next option will be leaf squirrel. The application will be more complex and require more materials. It will require:

• Leaves, approximately the same in color (oak, birch, rowan).
• Thick cardboard.
• Super glue.
• Several rowan berries.

And the last, most difficult option is the applique of a squirrel with a nut. It will be voluminous. It will require the following materials:

• Colored paper.
• Acorn.
• Thick cardboard.

Simple paper squirrel

Step-by-step instruction

Let's start manufacturing with the simplest option. You need to prepare all the necessary materials and follow the instructions.

1. Take colored paper in the colors you like. You can use pre-made stencils or cut out shapes of any size. For the squirrel's body you need to cut out a triangle. For the head - a circle. For the ears - small triangles. For the ponytail - oval. The eyes and nose should be made small, from black paper. If desired, you can cut out clouds, the sun, mushrooms or trees.
2. Next, all the parts need to be glued step by step onto a sheet of thick cardboard. It is advisable not to glue paper parts with liquid glue; it is best to use a glue stick.
3. Allow the product to dry.

Ready!

Applying squirrels from leaves will be a little more difficult, since the leaves may crack or stick poorly. To avoid such problems, you need to use super glue. Before crafting, the leaves do not need to be dried, otherwise they will crack very much. The step-by-step instructions will be as follows:

1. Place the collected leaves in front of you. For the squirrel's body we will use a birch leaf, it should be larger than the rest. For the tail, it is better to take an oak leaf, it will give a fluffy effect. All paws will look organic if you use rowan leaves for them. Eyes for a squirrel can be made from rowan berries.
2. Next you need to start gluing the leaves to thick cardboard. They need to be glued only in the center so that other parts of the squirrel’s body can be placed underneath.
3. Next, you need to give the product enough time to dry.

The product can be considered ready!

The most difficult option would be to make a squirrel applique with three-dimensional parts. For such a product you will need to perform the following steps:

1. Cut out the squirrel's body parts from paper.
2. Glue them onto thick cardboard.
3. You need to glue an acorn into the animal’s paws. To do this you need to use Moment glue.
4. You need to make a bow from the ribbon for the squirrel’s neck. Using rhinestones, beads and natural materials, you can decorate the resulting squirrel. The volumetric applique will turn out very beautiful and interesting.
