Earth Day - presentation

Prepared by teacher of MDOU D/s 106: Gorshkova Olga Nikolaevna

April 22 is International Earth Day - a holiday of clean Water, Earth and Air. A day of reminders of terrible environmental disasters, a day when every person can think about what he can do to solve environmental problems, overcoming indifference in himself. On this day, the Peace Bell sounds in different countries, calling on people to protect peace and life on the Planet, to promote friendship and mutual understanding of all peoples.

A LITTLE HISTORY The first Peace Bell was installed in June 1954 at the UN headquarters, in a Japanese courtyard. It was cast in Japan from coins collected by children from 60 countries. The inscription on the Bell reads: “Long live universal peace throughout the world.”

On Earth Day, the Peace Bell traditionally rings in different countries, calling on the people of the Earth to feel the planetary community and make efforts to protect peace on the planet and preserve the beauty of our common home. The Peace Bell is a symbol of calm, peaceful life and friendship, eternal brotherhood and solidarity of peoples. And at the same time, this is a call to action in the name of preserving peace and life on Earth, preserving Humanity and Culture. Since 1998, the “Bell of Peace on Earth Day” campaign has been held in Russia on the initiative of the USSR Pilot-Cosmonaut, Hero of the Soviet Union A.N. Berezovoy at the International Center of the Roerichs. In the photo: cosmonauts V.M. Afanasyev and A.N. Berezovaya

In Russia, Earth Day has been celebrated since 1992. On this day, everyone takes part in the improvement and landscaping of their yards and streets, various environmental events, festivals and promotions..

Unfortunately, people themselves are to blame. Not everyone always takes care of the Earth!

Over the course of a year, 5 billion tons of carbon dioxide alone are emitted into the atmosphere. As a result, the “greenhouse effect” occurs, the ozone layer becomes thinner, and ozone holes appear. There is a permanent ozone hole over Antarctica. At times, it expands and then decreases - over the Arctic, Europe, Moscow.

The planet is becoming increasingly bald. Over the past 20 years, people have cut down as much forest as was destroyed during its entire previous existence, not to mention the fires that occur due to human fault. For many animals, the forest is their home. And there are fewer and fewer forests. This means that animals are losing their home, they are doomed to death

Soil forms very slowly, 1 mm - 200 years. But it can be destroyed very quickly. Over the past 100 years, approximately ¼ of all fertile lands on Earth have been destroyed.

Scientists have calculated that every year so many harmful substances enter water bodies around the world that they could fill 10 thousand freight trains. Even in the waters of the Arctic, washing powder was found, and DDT was found in the bodies of penguins living in Antarctica. As a result of human activity, swimming in the rivers of Europe - the Seine, Danube, Rhine and Volga - is prohibited.

Today, 147 countries of the world are registered in the World Movement. Many countries host festive events and promotions calling for attention to environmental problems.

How can I protect nature? Let's remember the rules of behavior that will help protect nature: Yard Forest Pond

Keep your home warm.

Save energy

Take care of the trees Write on both sides of sheets of 60 kg of paper =

Don't take forest animals home

Don't pass by open taps By turning off the tap while brushing your teeth, you save 8 liters of water

And if we don’t take care of nature, then even the most beautiful forest will turn into a heap of garbage

And then the whole planet will become a ball of garbage...

Where will the children play then?

But we have the power to change everything... take the tools... collect the trash

Garbage has its place!

If every person cares about nature, then we will live on a clean planet!

And the children will play on the grass, and not on a garbage heap...

Let us strive for this, so that we are loved by both the beast and the bird. And they trusted us everywhere, As their most faithful friends! Let's take care of the planet There is nothing like it in the entire Universe: All alone in the entire Universe, What will it do without us?..

All the issues raised are very relevant. And I hope that you will not be indifferent in such situations, but will come to the aid of nature. Let's take care of our Earth! Everywhere, at every step, all together and each individually, we are not given anything else. The Earth with its biosphere is the greatest miracle, we have only one. The Earth's tomorrow will be the same as we create it today.

Let's remember! What holiday was the conversation dedicated to? When is this holiday celebrated? What events are held in Russia for this holiday - “Earth Day”? I want to live on a clean planet!
