“Equipping a center for speech development of children in groups”
Federal state requirements for the structure of the basic general education program of preschool education put forward the development of each child as the main goal of pedagogical work.
Formation of correct speech in children is one of the main tasks of preschool education.
The richer and more correct a child’s speech, the easier it is for him to express his thoughts, the wider his opportunities for understanding the surrounding reality, the more meaningful and fulfilling his relationships with peers and adults, the more active his mental development is. Therefore, it is necessary to take care of the timely formation of children’s speech, its purity and correctness. One of the conditions for the full cognitive and speech development of children involves providing a developing subject-spatial environment in a preschool educational institution.
To develop the speech of preschoolers, it is necessary to organize two centers that stimulate the speech activity of children. This is a literary center (book corner) and a speech development center.
Literary works selected for the book corner should be varied in genre, theme and content.
Speech corners promote meaningful communication between children and adults and peers. With their help, teachers create conditions for the development of children, stimulation of speech activity and verbal communication.
Equipment criteria when selecting didactic material:
- the leading toy (“mistress” of the speech corner).
The content should not be determined randomly, but in strict accordance with the program, with the age of the children.
The material contained in the speech corner is multifunctional. Games should be selected in order of increasing difficulty and aimed at developing (correcting) speech. Game and didactic material is replaced or replenished in the corner every month. It is necessary to diversify the activities of children in the speech corner. Didactic equipment must meet the needs of the child’s current, immediate development and self-development. At the same time, you should not overload the corner with equipment, as this makes it difficult to choose
When creating a group development environment, it is very important that the environment surrounding the children is comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. Beauty shapes a child. Therefore, much attention is paid to the aesthetics of the speech corner. Its design should be attractive to children and arouse their desire for independent activity. At the same time, it is necessary to teach children to maintain order in the corner and cultivate a caring attitude towards toys.
Contents of the speech corner:
1. Card file of articulation exercises.
2. Mirror or set of mirrors (with handle).
3. Card index of breathing exercises.
4. Card index of finger games.
5. Card index of health breaks with poetic text (dynamic).
6. Items for blowing.
7. Didactic games to enrich vocabulary and develop grammatical structure of speech
8. Card index of verbal didactic games in all sections.
9. Card index of games for the development of phonemic hearing and phonemic perception.
10. Items for the development of fine motor skills (laces, fasteners, etc.)
11. Massage balls and a card file of exercises with them.
At the speech development center, when working with children of primary and secondary preschool age, it is recommended to pay more attention to didactic materials and manuals related to the development of the lexical side of speech, the formation of a vocabulary and the syllabic structure of speech.
The following kits are used for this:
Mandatory elements of the content of the center in middle and senior preschool age should be the results of their creative activity: albums of children's riddles, books of children's fairy tales, portraits of literary heroes made by children in the process of project activities. Books and albums are a good means of activating the creative manifestations of children and an exercise for speech: children “voice out” and reproduce texts using their means of expressive speech.
