Analysis of health indicators and physical development of preschool children in recent years indicates alarming trends.

It is difficult to overestimate the importance of physical exercises, which allow coordinating the child’s health, because the body of a preschool child is weak, imperfect, adaptation mechanisms are poorly developed, all organs and systems are still in the development stage. A good level of physical development gives a preschooler strength and self-confidence, makes him cheerful, active, independent, capable of creative achievements, and allows him to resist illness.

For the full physical development and strengthening of the health of preschool children, a special motor regime is required, characterized by a variety of forms of physical education. One of these forms is physical education minutes. The main purpose of physical education minutes is active recreation.

Physical exercises are one of the necessary components of any educational activity. The purpose of the physical education minute is to increase or maintain the mental performance of children in the classroom, to provide short-term rest for preschoolers during ECD, when the organs of vision and hearing, the muscles of the body, especially the back muscles, which are in a static state, and the muscles of the hand of the working hand experience significant stress.

Correct performance of physical exercises helps improve blood circulation, heart and lung function, relieves fatigue in the nervous and muscular systems of a preschooler, and, therefore, increases interest in the activity.

In the practice of preschool upbringing and education, the approach to using physical exercises in the pedagogical process is not new. Scientists have found that there is a relationship between a child’s motor system and the success of his learning. The relationship between the child’s motor activity, his mental development and mental performance has also been identified. Moreover, the more analyzers (auditory, visual, motor, etc.) participate in the work process, the easier and more productive the new material is assimilated.

We must remember that mathematics is one of the most difficult academic subjects, but the inclusion of dynamic games creates conditions for increasing the emotional attitude to the content of educational material, ensuring its accessibility and awareness.

In preschool education, the importance of emotions in the intellectual development of a child is very great than at other age stages. After all, the dominant type of thinking (visual-figurative) inevitably causes the need for sensory impressions in cognitive activity. Emotions influence the content and dynamics of perception, attention, memory, and thinking. Turning to poetic images when teaching has a direct impact on the emotional side of the children’s psyche. Information is remembered easily and for a long time when it is accompanied by emotions.

When we talk about a preschooler, we must keep in mind that it is recommended to connect mathematics as much as possible with the life around us. And for a child, a physical activity presented in a plot form is his life. The artistic basis of physical education minutes makes the educational process interesting and therefore meaningful for a preschooler.

In addition, physical exercises relieve muscle fatigue and introduce novelty in communication between the teacher and the child.

“Theory and methodology of mathematical development of preschool children” is a pedagogical discipline that occupies an important place in the system of professional training of preschool workers. The study of this academic subject by students of a pedagogical college is designed to help them master the theory and practice of pre-mathematical preparation of preschoolers in kindergarten and family.
