How to teach educators to generalize teaching experience. Guidelines

The article contains methodological recommendations that will help you teach educators how to summarize your teaching experience and avoid mistakes at the next certification, methodological association and pedagogical council. Find out what methodological support teachers need to organize at each stage of this work.

To ensure that the work of studying, generalizing and disseminating teaching experience is not a one-time event, organize in your preschool organization a system of methodological support for teachers’ activities in this direction. We will tell you what stages the work of summarizing teaching experience includes and what the teacher and senior educator should do at each of them.

Why should teachers generalize their teaching experience?

A modern educator must be able to present himself and the results of his work to colleagues. This begins with speeches at the pedagogical council or methodological association in kindergarten. Then the teacher draws up personal professional achievements in the form of a portfolio. Subsequently, the certification commission or jury of a competition or pedagogical marathon in which the teacher participates gets acquainted with his work experience.

Presenting your teaching experience qualitatively is not so easy; you have to learn it. The head and senior teacher of the preschool organization should help the teacher in this. One of the tasks of their scientific and methodological activities, which should be reflected in the annual plan of preschool educational institutions, is to convey the best teaching experience. Therefore, a preschool organization should organize a system of methodological support for teachers to generalize experience.

Activities to create, generalize and implement pedagogical experience are related to the annual tasks of the preschool educational institution. Solving annual tasks means finding ways to solve these problems, and therefore improving the quality of the educational process. To show ways to solve a pedagogical problem, it is necessary to form, generalize and implement pedagogical work experience.

What teaching experience can be considered advanced?

The collection of methodological methods and techniques is the pedagogical experience of a particular teacher, which cannot be advanced for everyone. Modern preschool education provides for variability. A teacher’s creative discoveries and work experience based on methods and techniques that have not yet entered into widespread practice can become a model for colleagues. However, such experience cannot always be called advanced.

Any interested educator wants to see how a master teacher works, to find out what methods and techniques he uses to achieve high pedagogical results in the upbringing and development of children. This is especially true for beginning teachers who are experiencing difficulties and are looking for answers from their colleagues.

Often young teachers copy other people's teaching experience because they consider it advanced. However, in such a situation, the main thing for the teacher is to understand the idea, the goal, why the master teacher uses specific methods and techniques, and how to improve his work using his example.

What is the difference between excellence and innovation?

The work of a teacher is creative and requires the ability to find an approach to each child with his or her characteristics and in different situations. This is the skill of a teacher.

For those who study teaching experience, not only the result is important, but also the methods and techniques by which this result was achieved. The experience of colleagues allows teachers to compare their capabilities, develop teaching skills and motivates them to look for new approaches to work. It is the search activity, during which the teacher creates fundamentally new forms of educational activity, that is a pedagogical innovation. The methods and techniques that a teacher uses can be assessed as effective if they allow him to cope with difficulties in work and solve more complex professional problems.

What stages does the work of summarizing experience include? The system of scientific and methodological work with pedagogical experience includes three stages, which imply sequential actions. At every stage they participate

two people: a teacher (teacher) and a senior teacher (leader).

To identify high results of work on a specific problem (annual task) among educators, at the 1st stage, organize observation of their activities. At the same time, compare the specific results in the work of teachers from different preschool educational institutions. To do this, it is important to know about scientific developments and the achievements of practitioners in your area, city, region. If a senior educator is not aware of the achievements of pedagogical science and practice, he will not be able to provide qualified assistance to the educator and suggest ways to improve the educational process.

Any positive pedagogical experience needs to be introduced and disseminated. However, one cannot judge him only by the results of the teacher’s work. To present pedagogical experience as advanced, it is necessary to carefully study it.

Analyze how much the experience of a particular teacher corresponds to trends in social development, social orders, whether it contains novelty, and whether it has stood the test of time.

After you have identified discoveries and novelties in the teacher’s work, together with him draw up a plan for studying and summarizing his experience, formulate a goal, determine the object and subject of study. In this case, the object is a section of the program, a direction of activity, a subject - technologies, methods, techniques that the teacher uses.

Determine the timing, how often you will observe the educational process, routine moments, conversations with children and their parents in the teacher’s group, and how to record the results of observations. This could be diary entries, questionnaires, assessment of children's work and children's behavior, photo and video materials.

Select scientific and methodological literature. Study and discuss it together with your teacher, look for methods and techniques that can be applied in your work, and most importantly, compare them with scientific principles. At the same time, the interest and passion of both the teacher, whose experience is generalized, and the senior teacher, who studies (forms) this experience, is important.

The teacher’s task at this stage is to conduct self-analysis and self-assessment of the educational process and its results. The teacher formulates the leading idea of ​​his teaching experience, shows with the help of what technologies it is implemented, and how innovations are used in the educational process. He also determines the relationship between the results of his work and specific conditions and draws conclusions.

Since it is not the pedagogical experience itself that is used by practitioners in the future, but its main ideas, at the 2nd stage it is important to summarize all the information that the teacher collected as a result of analyzing his teaching experience. At this stage, the senior teacher compares the teacher’s experience with the experience that has been accumulated in other preschool educational institutions and is presented, for example, in methodological journals.

You can choose any form of generalization of experience. There are three main forms of generalizing experience in a preschool organization: open demonstration of educational activities for teachers; story (speech) at a pedagogical council or other methodological event; description – article, report for submission, for example, to a magazine or competition, portfolio.

The management of the preschool educational institution decides in what form the teacher’s pedagogical experience will be generalized. Typically, preschool educational institutions use open display and story-telling. The teacher summarizes and formalizes the teaching experience together with the senior teacher.

The first form of generalization - open display - involves writing a note or script, depending on what routine moment the teacher will present to the teaching staff. All materials from the work experience after an open demonstration are stored in the methodological office of the preschool educational institution, in the teacher’s portfolio and are the “golden piggy bank of pedagogical skill.”

If a teacher presents his teaching experience in the form of a speech (story), help him draw up a plan for the speech, write down the regulations and select visual material. This could be a presentation, children's work, statements, extracts from a work plan, etc.

The teacher’s task during the presentation is to convincingly present the results of his work and meet the regulations. It is imperative to say about the basis of what scientific and methodological literature work with children is based on. It is also important to talk about the difficulties that the teacher faced and how he overcame them.

The most difficult form of generalizing experience is description, so it is usually a joint work of the teacher and the senior teacher. However, not every teacher is able to describe his system of work. You can take on this kind of work yourself. Then on the title page of the report there will be a note: “The work experience of teacher V. I. Ivanova was summarized by M. V. Petrova, senior teacher of preschool educational institution No. __.”

A description of an experience cannot, as fully as a story, reflect the pedagogical knowledge of the teacher, all the nuances of his activities, which are conveyed in live communication. However, with the help of this form it is possible to holistically and systematically reveal how the pedagogical experience of the teacher was formed.

At the 3rd stage, the main role belongs to the senior preschool teacher. He regularly informs educators about the achievements of science and teaching practice and uses various forms of scientific and methodological work for this.

Scientific and methodological work in preschool educational institutions is aimed at improving the pedagogical skills and professional competence of each teacher. Therefore, the positive pedagogical experience of teachers can successfully “take root” in new conditions in a preschool organization.

If you want to present a positive experience to the teaching staff and organize an open demonstration of educational activities for this purpose, then there may be several goals: to promote positive experience, to train teachers in new methods and techniques of working with children, etc.

Before the open screening, it is necessary to organize preliminary work with teachers. For example, before watching, you can tell them about the teacher’s work system and suggest questions to which they should pay special attention. Questions can be distributed among teachers: one can be asked to evaluate the activity of children in class, the other can be asked to analyze how different methods and techniques are combined in educational activities, and whether the teacher uses aids rationally.

Such preparation for an open display of OOD will help you organize the discussion in an interesting way and develop a common opinion of the team. It is important to remember that the first word is given to the teacher who demonstrated his work with children.

Based on the results of an open review of the educational activities, it is necessary to formulate a decision: for example, to implement the presented new methods and techniques, this experience, provide notes to the methodological office, or continue to summarize the teacher’s work experience for presenting it at district (district) methodological events.

If a teacher talks about his experience at a teachers' meeting, then he has the opportunity to reveal problems, the causes of this or that phenomenon, without which it is impossible to master the technology of using experience. The speech is recorded in the minutes of meetings of the council of teachers. After this, specific decisions also need to be made. To check how teachers implement these decisions, the senior teacher organizes control. The results of the control are discussed at the next teachers' meeting.

The study, generalization and implementation of pedagogical experience is an important component of methodological work. The methodological room of the preschool educational institution should present the pedagogical experience of the preschool organization and individual educators on various problems in the upbringing and education of children.

In many preschool educational institutions, each teacher draws up a portfolio. This is another way to describe the experience. Portfolio is an individual folder with the teacher’s personal professional achievements in educational activities over the past 3 years. In addition to the teacher, parents of pupils and pre-school specialists can take part in its design. Based on the portfolio materials, you can get an idea of ​​the results in the educational process, the priority areas in the work of the teacher, his aspirations for development and self-assessment of achievements.

Since a teacher’s portfolio is a systematic document with a selection of materials, it should contain a table of contents and three main blocks of materials. These are materials that reflect the professionalism of the teacher (documents on advanced training, certification, awards); materials on summarizing experience (author's notes, presentations, publications); additional materials to improve professional competence (pedagogical credo, pedagogical sketches of children’s portraits, a selection of statements from favorite teachers).

Although any teaching experience that has positive results is valuable, educators should share their experiences with colleagues. Transmission of experience in any form will contribute to the professional growth of the teacher, increase status among colleagues, and open up prospects for development.
