Having decided to hold a party dedicated to some holiday or just to escape from boring everyday life, there is a desire to make it unusual so that a fun time remains in the memory for a long time. Often in such cases various themed parties are organized. One of the most fun, vibrant, but at the same time easiest parties to organize is a hat party.
A hat party can be organized for people of any age - from kids and teenagers to adults.
In addition, such a party will not require too much money to create an image, because purchasing or making a hat is much easier than a whole suit.

In the center of the circle is a deep hat with pieces of paper on which the names of body parts are written. A cylinder is perfect for these purposes. You can invite the participants themselves to write the names of body parts on pieces of paper. Then each participant, in turn, takes out a piece of paper and touches with his right hand the part of the body that he got. The second circle is the left hand, and so on until all the pieces of paper are gone.
"You can leave your hat on"
This famous Joe Cocker song may well become the soundtrack to the next competition. The players line up in a circle and, to the music, pass the hat to each other, taking it off their heads and putting it on the head of their neighbor. Then the host suddenly turns off the music, and the participant who happened to have the hat at that moment is eliminated. To prevent dropped players from getting bored, they can be asked to perform a mini-dance to the famous hit before leaving.
"Hat Flight"
We divide the players into several teams and line up the players in lines. The leader puts a hat on the first player of each team. The task is to temporarily pass the hat from the first to the last participant... without touching it with your hands. Moreover, everyone must pass the hat so that it ends up on the head of the next participant! Excellent gymnastics for office workers sitting too long in front of their computers. It is better to choose hats for this competition with wide brims and deep crowns so that it is not too difficult. Caps, cowboy hats, cocked hats, pirate hats, etc. will do. To prevent players from cheating by holding accessories with their hands, you can introduce a penalty: one touch - plus 30 seconds. Everything should be honest - because it will be much more fun!
"Title analysis"
Here, each participant will have to engage in single combat with a participant from the opposing team. However, strength, gender and age decide little here - agility and swiftness are important! One player from each team is invited to the circle. Participants must press their left hand to the body, and with their right hand, rip off the opponent’s hat as quickly as possible. The team whose members “conquer” more hats from their opponents wins. According to the music, players must pass the hat to each other, putting it on the head of the next player. Then the presenter suddenly turns off the music, and the player who happened to have the hat at that moment leaves the circle. The game continues until there is only one winner left. By the way, those who are eliminated can be forced to dance a mini-dance in the center of the circle while the rest of the players continue to fight.
"Magic Hat"
For this competition you will need two deep-crowned hats - for example, a top hat or a cap. You can use wizard or troll hats to give the action an aura of magic. Pieces of paper with the names of the guests are placed in one hat, and pieces of paper with wishes written by the employees themselves are placed in the other. It is better if they are funny and entertaining, rather than the traditional wish for “happiness and health.” Well, then the magic hat will distribute wishes among the guests in a “magical” way, and the host will read them out loud.
"Sweet Hat"
Absolutely any hats are suitable for this competition. We put pieces of paper with different nouns written on them into a hat. How to make a hat
Making a hat yourself is not as difficult as it seems at first glance. There will definitely be some kind of material in the house - cardboard, paper, fabric, plastic, leather, etc.
From cardboard
For this original hat you need a cardboard toilet paper roll and some regular cardboard. You also need a glue gun, a compass and white paper, scissors, beads and ribbons. You will need PVA glue and paints:
- A part five centimeters high is cut off from the roll. The base of this crown is outlined on cardboard and cut out. For the fields you need a circle with a diameter of five centimeters.
- The base is attached to the crown on one edge, and the field on the other using hot glue.
- Now the white paper is torn into small pieces, they are smeared with PVA, and then they are tightly pasted over the entire cap.
- The parts can be slightly overlapped (crumpled pieces will give an interesting effect).
- After drying, the hat is painted and decorated - here everything happens in accordance with the imagination of the master. Flowers and a veil would be very appropriate.
Knitted
The hat can be crocheted in the round using simple light yarn, you will need about 100 grams of any color. It is better to take hooks No. 3.5 and 5. The knitting density should be 12 stitches per 10 cm, with double thread.
The thread is wrapped around the finger and tied into a ring.
- 1st row – 12 single crochets, knitted into a ring;
- 2nd row - single crochet, the second also knit into the next column. Repeat up to 18 columns;
- Row 3 – 2 single crochets, two more of the same and knit into the next stitch. Repeated five times. There should be 24 columns;
- 4th row - 3 single crochets, 2 of the same and knit into the next column. Repeat 5 times, up to 30 columns;
- Row 5 – 4 single crochets, 2 of the same and knit into the next stitch. Repeat 5 times, up to 36 columns.
Knit in the same way, adding 6 stitches in each row. When there are 66 of them, do not increase them, and knit to a height of 16 cm.
Then the next stitch is a single crochet, 2 of the same, knit into the next stitch. Repeat until the end of the row. Knit another 4 cm, cut the thread. If desired, the hat can be decorated with an elegant flower, or a thin braid can be passed from the bottom, 2-3 cm from the edge.
From fabric
This is one of the easiest options for making a fabric hat. It requires very little material - every housewife has illiquid leftovers of a pleasant color that she doesn’t dare throw away.
The pattern consists of a base - around the head circumference +5 cm - and fields - their width depends on desire:
- All elements are prepared in duplicate for strength.
- First, identical blanks are sewn together.
- The base needs to be stitched almost to the end in a circle, turned out through a small hole, ironed, and carefully hemmed the remaining section by hand.
- The fields are stitched along a long circumference, turned inside out, and pressed.
- The remaining raw edges are joined and stitched with a simple stitch, followed by a zigzag stitch a second time.
Now you can hem the fields from below to the base. If desired, the Panama hat can be folded over the edge and decorated with an elegant flower.
This is how you can, without having any special skills, make an original hat for a child or an adult - for any occasion. It’s enough to start with a simple product and don’t hold back your imagination.

For hat parties, a buffet or tea party is best. Dishes, like drinks, should be easy to prepare and serve. If you are planning a sweet table, you can order cakes and pastries in the form of all kinds of hats. Cocktails can be decorated with umbrella hats. The school is tired of traditional holidays and the same type of matinees. I want something new and interesting. My parents came up with the idea of ending the most difficult, long quarter with a hat ball. All the first graders were delighted.
All guests must be dressed according to the style of the holiday according to the scenario of the Hat Party event. That is, each guest must have a hat. What exactly it will be is a matter of taste. For example, you can wear a cap, you can wear a scarf, or you can wear a crown. The room was decorated with all kinds of hats and pictures of them. The table should also be decorated according to the style of the holiday according to the scenario. For example, for each guest you can fold a napkin in the shape of a hat. You can also make sandwiches in the shape of a hat. Divide all guests into groups according to the headdress they are wearing. For example, you will get three groups “Caps”, “Hats”, “Scarves”. The participants’ task is to pass the hat to the last participant without touching it with their hands, but at the same time, each participant must put the hat on his head. If a member of one of the teams touches the hat with his hands, then that team is given a penalty point. Each penalty point when summing up the results will be calculated as additional time spent (about 30 seconds). When each team completes a task, the execution time is recorded. The team that shows the best result wins. Then the “Tear off the hat” competition is held. Each team is given a hat. One representative from each team is called to the battlefield. Each representative puts a hat on his head. Participants must keep their left hand pressed to their side, and with their right hand they must tear off the opponent’s hat, while not allowing their own hat to be torn off. After the hat is torn off, the fight continues between the next two representatives. And so the competition continues until all representatives take part in the battles. The team that rips off the most enemy hats wins the competition. After determining the main headdress, distribute such a headdress to those who do not have one. After this, invite everyone to the table, and after the feast, continue the party, dancing to fiery rhythms.

A hat ball was announced in our class and I was looking forward to it. I was getting ready. Together with my mother, we made a hat for me. And it seems that it was a success.
All my friends and I came wearing fancy hats. Some had knitted, wicker, veil, and flower hats, musketeer hats, student hats, and baseball caps. Who is good at what.
We, like real models, walked along the catwalk and showed our guests how we can express ourselves.
The boys took part in the “Take off your hat” competition, and the girls cheered for them. The funniest task was to count candies while sitting on a chair in an unusual way. And we were completely amused by the “Question and Answer” game, in which we answered the teacher’s usual question with funny words.

And our holiday ended with a disco. Incendiary songs were played here, to which everyone danced, rocked out and no one was shy.
