Monotype in psychology

The most famous examples of the use of monotype in psychology are Rorschach blots. Many people have heard about a psychological test that allows you to study your personality. In 1921, Swiss psychiatrist Hermann Rorschach created ten black-and-white and color monotypes. A person is asked to look at them and describe what they see in the picture. Each person interprets pictures in their own way. There are no wrong answers in this test, but the psychologist, based on the test subject’s descriptions, can clearly imagine the characteristics of his mental and emotional state.

The associations that arise in the patient can tell about his phobias, which create insoluble intrapersonal conflicts, and deeply hidden desires.

Monotopy in elementary school on the theme: Autumn

Master class “Monotopy.
Autumn meadow" Purpose: To introduce and teach how to use the fine art technique - monotype. Promote an understanding of the beauty of the world around us. Objectives: 1. Introduction to the drawing technique - monotopy. 2. Develop artistic skills when choosing a color scheme using the monotype technique. 3. Making a combined work of dried flowers and dried leaves using monotopy and applique techniques. The work was carried out by a student of class 1 “A” of gymnasium No. 69 in the city of Krasnodar - Arina Fedoseeva.

I have an autumn bouquet, Multi-colored and the last one. It contains a carved maple leaf and a painted viburnum leaf. A modest aspen leaf And a bunch of rowan berries are turning red. Here is a yellow birch leaf, and a carved yarrow. The oak tree has a red, bright leaf. I looked and it became hot. I’ll dry my bouquet and invite you into autumn and winter. E. Melnikova-Kravchenko

We will need: watercolor paints, a brush, water, liquid soap, a file (you can use glass, a tray and other glossy surfaces), watercolor paper, glue, tweezers, pre-press-dried leaves of different shades and flowers.

Preparing the basis for the composition. Apply a drop of liquid soap and water to the file and spread it over the entire file with a brush.

We draw with watercolor paints on a soap file (the brush glides well over the soap and creates interesting stains).

Place a sheet of watercolor paper on the file with multi-colored stains and smooth it with your hand (you can even twirl the sheet a little to get interesting stains). Starting from the corner, lift the sheet with the printed image. This type of work is called “monotype”; even chaotically applied paints with this painting technique can turn into masterpieces.

Now our painting should dry well.

Let's start building a composition from dried leaves and flowers. Carefully apply PVA glue to the dried sheet with a brush and glue it onto our picture.

It will be easier to start composing a composition with larger leaves and flowers, and then add smaller ones. The leaves are falling, spinning and lying at my feet. I will stretch out my palm and take one piece of paper. And then the second and third... They are good, believe me! I will collect greetings from autumn in a big bouquet! E. Lipatova

Dried flower petals are very thin and brittle, so it is more convenient to glue them with tweezers.

There lived a carved maple leaf, In the morning I listened to the bird whistle, It rustled on a maple branch And all summer it was green, The leaf dreamed that it could itself Soar to the blue skies. Time passed and according to signs, Indian summer has arrived. Our leaf became colored - Red-yellow - painted. An autumn wind flew in, noticed it from afar, whirled it around and tore it off... “I’m flying!” the leaf said. And then over the old garden In a round dance with the falling leaves, After circling a little more, He flew into my window. I recognized him immediately and took the wanderer to the vase. Red and yellow - painted, He is always with me now. S. Son

This is such a bright autumn meadow, fabulous! Once upon a time, there were green leaves in the summer. They each lived in their own house - some on a maple tree, some on an ash tree, some on a birch tree, some on an aspen tree... There were many, many of them. The leaves were arguing about which of them was more beautiful, which was greener. But the summer season is over and autumn has arrived. Warm days gave way to autumn coolness, it was drizzling more and more often, and in the morning the leaves were buried in fog... Summer plants and flowers turned yellow and withered, all nature was preparing for the onset of cold weather. And our leaves, previously green, began to change their appearance - they turned yellow, red, and purple. The leaves became worried, what would happen to them, they would no longer give nature their lush greenery... And then an autumn breeze blew in, our leaves could not stay on the branches and flew away... “Oh-oh, where are we going...” - the leaves rustled. The wind swirled them in the sky in a round dance and lowered them into the clearing. The leaves looked around and saw that they were not the only ones so bright in the clearing - the autumn flowers were blooming and fragrant, as if they were asking autumn not to rush. The autumn meadow looked charming, colorful, and elegant!
