The use of lapbooks in correctional and speech therapy work with children of senior preschool age with speech disorders

Speech development is a complex, multifaceted process that is closely related to the formation and development of human mental processes.

Mastering the native language as a means and way of communication and knowledge is one of the most important acquisitions of a child. This problem is at the center of many modern studies. In the first years of life, speech first acts as a means of communication and designation, then it becomes a tool of thinking, expressing thoughts, and organizes human activity and behavior (L. S. Vygotsky, 1983; A. R. Luria, 1956, etc.

In recent years, there has been a decline in the level of speech development of preschool children. This is facilitated by a number of reasons, which include the deterioration of children’s health, the global decline in the level of speech culture in society, and the passivity and ignorance of parents in matters of children’s speech development, which most often manifests itself in the imbalance of family education in matters of speech development, which manifests itself either in the desire for early learning of written language at the expense of oral, or in an indifferent attitude towards it.

The participation of parents in the speech development of the child plays a colossal role.

In children with OSD, speech does not develop independently. The process of accumulation, selection of words and handling them in speech activity suffers (the dictionary is chaotic and unorganized). All this leads to a decrease in attention, memory, and cognitive processes of perception.

Speech formation is one of the main tasks of speech education of a preschooler, because plays a big role in the formation of personality. To develop a child’s speech, you should use various games, activities, manuals, and innovative technologies. In connection with the implementation of the Federal State Educational Standard for preschool educational institutions, teachers are looking for new approaches, ideas, and teaching methods in order to meet modern requirements for the education and upbringing of preschool children.

In the context of the implementation of the new Federal State Educational Standard (FSES), working with children with general speech underdevelopment and facing problems in their learning, a teacher-speech therapist has to look for aids that facilitate, systematize and guide the process of mastering new material. A speech therapist teacher must show mobility, variability and creativity in choosing educational technologies that will help each child show his interests and needs, and also involve his parents in the correction process.

Proper organization of education for children with special needs is a very difficult matter. Therefore, along with generally accepted techniques and principles, it is entirely justified to use original, creative methods, the effectiveness of which is obvious.

In my opinion, the introduction of new approaches to the development of preschoolers with special needs should not contribute to replacing traditional methods, but to expanding their capabilities. Therefore, in my work with such children I use both traditional and modern educational technologies, which I effectively use in joint activities with children, as well as with their parents.

One of such teaching aids for today's preschoolers is a lapbook or, in other words, a thematic or interactive folder. This folder collects material on a specific topic.

A laptop is interesting and useful because it is made jointly by an adult and children.

A laptop is a relatively new phenomenon; it is a folding book with pockets, doors, windows, tabs and moving parts, in which materials on one topic are placed. A laptop helps a child organize information on the topic being studied at will and better understand and remember the material (especially considering that the thinking of children in preschool age is visual and figurative in nature).

Lapbook literally translated from English means “knee book.” The laptop is a relatively new learning tool.

In children with speech disorders, speech does not develop independently. The process of accumulating words and using them in speech activity suffers. The path to correcting sound pronunciation is difficult and lengthy. As mentioned above, preschoolers in this category also suffer from cognitive processes: memory, attention, perception, thinking.

The solution to these problems is the use of a laptop in speech correction work.

This interactive folder allows you to:

· replenish children's vocabulary and expand the “semantic fields” of word meanings;

· speed up and make the process of automation and differentiation of sounds more attractive;

· form grammatical categories;

· develop coherent speech;

· form the psychological basis of speech;

· improve fine motor skills.

For us, a lapbook is a unique means of collaboration with children; it is an excellent way to consolidate and repeat material. By combining play, learning and education into one process, a lapbook makes it possible to build work on speech development with children with speech impairments, taking into account the individual characteristics of the child, to create conditions under which the child independently consolidates the acquired knowledge in the form of a game, and also, importantly, develops speech skills.

At the first stage, we studied the limited experience of domestic teachers on this topic using Internet resources.

At the second stage, based on the analysis of the studied materials, a test laptop was made. The children were interested in the lapbook. Our children have been familiar with laptops and netbooks since childhood. The word “lapbook” is consonant with these terms, which means that it also contains a lot of interesting and useful information. And the main thing is that you can touch, feel, explore all the pockets and envelopes!

At the third stage, together with the children, they began to develop and use their own lapbook: “Animals of Africa.” The making of a lapbook was preceded by thematic activities and games, discussion and assignments. The child remembers information, draws diagrams of the layout of games in a book, learns to plan, explore, and design. With such work, the lapbook really fulfills its role as a reinforcing, didactic and gaming aid.

It is not necessary for the child to complete all tasks at once. Many of them are designed for long-term work, studying additional information and conducting their own research. Therefore, you need to return to the lapbook more than once, which means playing and studying.

In addition to educational advantages, a lapbook can be perceived by preschoolers as a “treasure” to which it is interesting to return, leaf through and revise information, remembering it and accumulating it in their memory. Therefore, when the created “treasure” is demonstrated to peers, spontaneous discussions and debates occur, which help improve the assimilation of information, as well as the development of monologue and dialogic speech of children.

The use of a lapbook in speech therapy work with preschoolers with special needs as an independent teaching aid can be used in any preschool educational institutions. This technology touches on the current and sought-after topic of speech development in children with special needs and allows you to build a system of work on the development of the lexical and grammatical structure of speech, reveal children's initiative and organize effective cooperation with the family.

An important and integral part of the work to eliminate speech disorders in children is the close interaction of parents in matters of pathology and speech correction, their underestimation of the early detection of speech defects and timely intervention on them, incorrect and sometimes harmful attitudes regarding the speech of children, indicate the need for all stages of correction. Parental help is extremely important. Firstly, parental opinion is the most authoritative for the child, and secondly, only parents have the opportunity to daily consolidate the skills they are developing in the process of live, direct communication with their children.

Creating a lapbook is one of the types of joint interactive activities between adults and children. This is expressed in the fact that parents, together with their children, look for the necessary material on a certain topic, be it riddles or pictures cut out from a magazine. The child should take an active part in the selection of material, and not remain on the sidelines. During the joint search, parents and the child communicate simultaneously.

A laptop can also be a form of presenting the results of a project or a thematic week. In the future, the child will learn to independently collect and organize information - this is good preparation for research activities.

The construction of a system of speech therapy work using the creation of a laptop for the development of the lexical and grammatical structure of the speech of school-age children with SLD was based on the following principles:

· the principle of individualization, taking into account the capabilities, developmental characteristics and needs of each child

· the principle of supporting children's initiative and shaping the cognitive interests of each child;

· the principle of specificity and accessibility of educational material, compliance of requirements, methods, techniques and conditions of education with the individual and age characteristics of children;

· the principle of recognizing each child as a full participant in the educational process;

· the principle of systematicity and interconnection of educational material;

· the principle of integrating the efforts of specialists;

· the principle of concentric build-up of information in each of the subsequent age groups in all five educational areas;

· the principle of gradual presentation of educational material.

In my work, I use lapbooks in individual and subgroup lessons on correcting sound pronunciation, forming lexical and grammatical categories and developing coherent speech. I also suggest that children use cards and games from laptops in free activities to automate the sounds. Children often take one or another laptop home to once again “plunge” into one or another lexical topic with their parents.

Thus, in addition to information and communication technologies, which are actively being introduced into the educational process and replacing the live emotional communication of children with adults, with parents, and children with each other, there is a wonderful modern accessible learning tool that facilitates the interaction of all participants in the educational process - the lapbook. It promotes the creative development of all participants in the pedagogical process.

The article discusses interactive games in the correction of speech disorders. The possibilities of using lapbook technology in correctional practice are described. Methodological recommendations for using the interactive lapbook folder in working with preschool children are presented.

Keywords: interactive games, lapbook, lapbook, children with speech impairments

Interactive technologies are a reflection of the ancient wisdom: “Tell me and I will forget, show me and I will remember, let me do it myself and it will be mine forever.” The very terms “interactive methods” and “interactive learning” (“interactive”: “inter” means “between”, “between”; “active” from “аst” - to act, action) are broadly understood as “methods that allow students to interact with each other" and "learning based on interaction" respectively. This is the essence of interactive methods: learning and correction occur in the interaction of all participants in the correctional pedagogical process. These methods are most consistent with both the student-centered approach and inclusive trends in education. After all, they involve co-learning (collective, cooperative learning, collaborative learning), and the teacher often acts only as an organizer of the learning process, a group leader, a facilitator, an assistant, and a creator of conditions for children’s initiative. Interactive learning is based on the direct interaction of children with their own experience and the experience of their peers, since most interactive exercises address the experience of the child himself, and new knowledge, skill, attitude or competence are formed on the basis of and in connection with such experience [4]. Thus, the experience of the child participant serves as a central source of development, correction and learning.

The inclusion of interactive technologies in the practice of special, integrated and inclusive education makes it possible to increase the efficiency of the correctional pedagogical process. The use of interactive learning tools in correctional practice contributes to the formation of a new developmental learning environment for children with special educational needs. These tools are relevant, effective and give the child the opportunity to experiment, synthesize acquired knowledge, develop creativity, speech and communication skills, which allows him to successfully adapt first at school and then in later life.

The interactive lapbook folder (“lapbook”: “lap” - knees, “book” - book) has great correction potential. This manual is a small folder that can be conveniently placed on your lap or on the table. In terms of content, a lapbook can reflect both the materials of one lesson and summarize materials for long-term study. Such an interactive folder can be multifunctional and not have rigid content, but represent a general structure with a concentric construction, i.e. the content of the material over a long period (up to several years) is fixed, gradually deepens and becomes more complex, taking into account the changed speech capabilities and dynamics of the development of each child [1; 6; 9].

The lapbook folder is a relatively new learning tool. American teachers were the first to create interactive folders. Such a folder perfectly reflects the “golden rule of didactics” (the principle of visibility), put forward by John Amos Comenius: “everything that can be presented for perception by the senses, namely: what is visible for perception by sight, what is heard by hearing, smells by smell, that it can be tasted by taste; it can be touched by touch. If some objects can be perceived by several senses, let them be several senses.” A laptop is a folding book with pockets, doors, windows, tabs and movable parts, which contains materials summarized by a common theme. This is an excellent way to comprehensively study a specific topic with preschool children, comprehend the contents of a book, conduct research work, during which the child will take part in searching, analyzing and sorting information, and will actively interact with peers and adults.

A laptop usually looks like an interactive book, the information in which is presented in the form of opening windows, removable and unfolding leaves and other funny details, which, on the one hand, are designed to attract the child’s interest in the folder itself, and on the other hand, allow you to present all the available information in a compact format. form. Such an interactive folder meets the modern requirements of preschool and special education for a spatial subject-development environment and provides: transformability - a laptop allows you to change the space depending on the educational situation, including the changing interests and capabilities of children; multifunctionality - using the folder in various types of children's activities; The lapbook can be used to work with the whole group, with a subgroup and individually; variability - periodic replacement of gaming material, ensuring free choice of children, the emergence of new materials that stimulate children’s activity; richness - the environment corresponds to the content of the educational program, developed on the basis of one of the sample programs, as well as the age characteristics of children: in one folder you can place a lot of information on a certain topic, rather than selecting different didactic material and using it in various types of children's activities [2 ; 4; 8].

This interactive folder provides communication with peers and adults. Through a lapbook, a child finds his “I” in the company of people, learns to see, use and respect the capabilities of others. Communication that is appropriate to the child’s age is itself the main condition for the success of the development of communicative activities in the future [3]. Thus, the lapbook plays a big role in the formation of social and communicative competence of preschool children.

Figure 1 Scheme of the interactive laptop folder for the formation of the pronunciation aspect of speech

In its original form, a lapbook consists of an A4 or A3 folder into which pockets, folding books, windows and other details with visual information on a selected topic are glued: from interesting games to vocabulary and a large amount of interestingly presented information (Fig. 1). Creating a lapbook is one of the types of joint activities between adults and children, a form of presenting the results of a project or thematic week and helps develop the following skills: obtain the necessary information in communication; listen to another person, respect his opinion and interests; conduct simple dialogue with adults and peers; calmly defend your opinion; correlate your desires and aspirations with the interests of other people; take part in collective affairs (agree, concede, etc.); accept and provide assistance; do not quarrel, react calmly in conflict situations; the ability to understand the emotional state of a peer, an adult [5; 7].

Manufacturing technology consists of several stages:  selection of a topic,  setting goals and objectives,  selection of content,  thinking through games,  selection of paintings and other materials,  development of forms for presenting material (moving parts, drop-down pockets, accordions, etc. ),  selection of a base, preparation of elements,  selection of the location of parts, layout of sheets,  collection of an interactive folder,  preparation of a lapbook methodological passport. Depending on the purpose of production, the content of the interactive folder may differ and contain: poems on the topic; riddles, proverbs, sayings on the topic; mnemonic tables; puzzles on the topic; coloring books; game "find the shadow"; memory - paired pictures; superimposed pictures, mixed up; origami on the topic; cut pictures; scheme for composing a story; mini-books; plot pictures on the topic for composing stories; sets of sequential pictures for composing stories; do it yourself (crafts from plasticine, paper, leaves, etc. on a theme); insert the missing part; various ratio games (depending on the topic); 10 why; from the history; Interesting Facts; believe-disbelieve or truth or lie; draw by cells; theme in painting; volumetric overlays, etc.

Creating a lapbook solves a number of problems in modern education. In the context of modernization of education, a teacher needs to look for new teaching methods and technologies that would help him teach and educate the personality that a new modern society needs - a personality who can think outside the box, propose and implement various ideas.

Relevance of the project.

Speech formation is one of the main tasks of speech education of a preschooler, because plays a big role in the formation of personality. To develop a child’s speech, it is necessary to use various games, activities, manuals, and innovative technologies. In recent years, there has been a sharp decline in the level of speech development of preschool children. Speech disorders are diverse; they manifest themselves in impaired pronunciation, grammatical structure of speech, poor vocabulary, as well as impaired tempo and fluency of speech. An important area of correctional work is the correction of speech disorders and the prevention of speech disorders. The success of correctional education is largely determined by the extent to which the teacher applies new pedagogical technologies. Effective use of a modern teaching aid - a lapbook. A laptop helps a child organize information on the topic being studied at will and better understand and remember the material. This is a great way to review what you've learned. In this regard, the development of this project is relevant.

Conclusion.

We can unequivocally state that work on the project “Lapbook - as a means of remedial education for preschool children” brought a positive result, because:

- the level of speech development has increased;

— the level of cognitive activity of children has increased;

— preschool teachers got acquainted with a new form of work on the development of coherent speech and cognitive activity of preschoolers.

Innovative technology "Lapbook" as a means of forming the speech of a preschooler

Innovative technology "Lapbook" as a means of forming the speech of a preschooler

The development of speech activity is one of the most important sections of preschool pedagogy and is aimed at the mental development of the child. The better the speech activity of children is organized, the higher the guarantee of success in school education.

According to the Federal State Educational Standard for Preschool Education: “speech development includes mastery of speech as a means of communication and culture; enrichment of vocabulary, development of coherent, grammatically correct dialogical and monologue speech, development of speech creativity, development of sound and intonation culture of speech, phonemic hearing, familiarity with book culture, children's literature, listening comprehension of texts of various genres of children's literature, formation of sound analytical-synthetic activity as prerequisites for teaching literacy.”

The Federal State Educational Standard sets requirements for the results of mastering the main educational program, which are presented in the form of targets. And one of the target guidelines at the stage of completing preschool education is presented as follows: “the child has a fairly good command of oral speech, can use speech to express his thoughts, construct speech statements in communication situations.”

The relevance of the problem of speech development of preschool children is obvious. In connection with the increasing needs of parents for the education of their children and according to statistics on the speech development of preschoolers, which indicate an increase in the number of children with deviations from the norm. Therefore, I had a need to search for new forms and methods in working with children.

Having analyzed its activities in the context of the implementation of the Federal State Educational Standard, I set myself the goal: to ensure the search for new innovative approaches in the development of speech of middle-aged children through the lapbook didactic manual, to enrich the subject-development environment of the group in accordance with comprehensive thematic planning by organizing a series of lapbooks.

To achieve this goal, I set myself the following tasks:

— improve children’s coherent speech and communication skills through various types of children’s activities;

— expand, clarify and activate the vocabulary based on systematization and generalization of knowledge about the environment;

- stimulate the development and formation of not only cognitive interest, but also cognitive communication;

- develop the desire to discuss what you see, tell stories, and the ability to conduct a dialogue.

1 Didactic manual LEPBUK “Developing Speech” Relevance In the context of modernization of education, every teacher is interested in introducing innovative technologies into teaching activities, in searching for new methods and techniques of teaching. A clamshell laptop or a homemade paper folder with many different parts, pockets of different shapes, mini-books, accordion books, envelopes that a child can take out, rearrange, fold at will and view all its contents in one go. But, despite its apparent simplicity, it contains all the necessary materials, which are united by one theme.

2 The manual contains games and exercises, visual material aimed at consolidating (if necessary, teaching, familiarizing) all sections and concepts in preparation for teaching literacy to older preschoolers (“sound”, “syllable”, “word”, “sentence”, "letter"). The laptop meets the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard for preschool education for a spatial subject-developmental environment: - informative (in one folder you can place a lot of information on a certain topic, rather than selecting various didactic material); — multifunctional: promotes the development of creativity and imagination, it is possible to use it both with a subgroup of children and individually; - has didactic properties, is a means of artistic and aesthetic development of the child, introduces him to the world of art; - variable (there are several options for using each part); — its structure and content are accessible to preschool children and ensure playful, cognitive, research and creative activity for all pupils. As practice shows, schematization, modeling, and game techniques make it possible to maximize speech activity while maintaining interest in the process of preparing for learning to read and write. Children get the opportunity not only to hear their own or spoken speech, but also to see its elements. All lapbook materials carry cognitive and developmental functions, help to see the main thing, systematize acquired knowledge, facilitate and speed up the memorization process. Its structure and content are accessible to the child and provide play, research and creative activity. The material in the lapbook can be changed and added. This didactic manual can be used by teachers and pupils of senior preschool age in joint and independent activities.
