Individual educational route for a child with disabilities.

Children with disabilities (CHD)

Why do children with disabilities need an individual educational route?

When a child is sick with something, his body makes every effort to fight the defect. Accordingly, the forces for training are distributed according to the residual principle.

And since children spend less energy on learning, they process information more slowly, which, in turn, leads to a slower pace of psychological development. This affects communication problems, and therefore negatively affects the child’s character.

Therefore, an individual educational route must take into account the above-mentioned features and adapt to them in such a way as to prevent problems with communication and a negative impact on character.

Firstly, an individual route for children with disabilities should be based on the child’s real capabilities and performance. Secondly, the teacher must especially work on the volitional sphere, make sure that the material being learned is as interesting as possible for the child, so that he awakens the desire, and later, the motivation to work on himself and engage in learning.

The main feature of the IOM is that it can only be compiled with the written consent of the parents. First, parents agree in writing to the development of the IOM, then they sign the finished document and then receive information from teachers about exactly how education is carried out using the IOM.

Individual educational route

So, we understand why IOM is needed. Now you need to understand the most important thing: what is it?

Let's start with the fact that any educational program (OOP, AOP, AOOP) states what children should learn. However, how to carry out this educational process is decided by the teachers themselves, including through an individual route.

In other words, an individual educational route determines not what a child should learn, but how he should obtain this knowledge. IOM determines the tactics of teachers when teaching a child.

The main feature of the IOM is that it can only be compiled with the written consent of the parents. First, parents agree in writing to the development of the IOM, then they sign the finished document and then receive information from teachers about exactly how education is carried out using the IOM.

IOM can be compiled by teachers at their own discretion or based on other routes - for example, according to an individual rehabilitation program for a disabled person, if there is one.
