" (Appendix No. 1),
conducted a didactic game "Journey to Dinosaurs"
(Appendix No. 2)
, watched the film "Scientists have found facts about the existence of dinosaurs", as well as the cartoons "Ice Age", "Dinosaur", "The Land Before Time" . During this work, the child became acquainted with the existence of dinosaurs, their structure and way of life, the types and types of dinosaurs, how they differed from each other, and why they became extinct.

It was decided to create a “Dinosaur World” model. The basis for the vegetation of the model was a flower pot filled with soil, artificial greenery, dead wood, samples of various types of stones, sand, which reflects the flora of the Jurassic period, the heyday of dinosaurs. Together with the parents, figurines of dinosaurs, representatives of that period, were also collected. Also, a proposal was received from the child and parents to select coloring books from the cartoon “Ice Age” and create a large folder of “Dinosaurs” coloring books. Parents also took an active part in the implementation of the project; together with their child, they looked at and talked about the encyclopedia “Everything about Dinosaurs” at home, and selected poems and stories about dinosaurs to create the book “The Age of Dinosaurs.” Also, a memo “Tell your children about dinosaurs” was developed for parents and a laptop book was created for children of the younger group “Dinosaurs for Little Ones” (Appendix No. 3)

Project title: “In the world of dinosaurs”

A problem that is significant to children and that the project aims to solve.

Who are dinosaurs and what did they eat? How dinosaurs took care of their children. Do animals similar to dinosaurs exist now? Why did dinosaurs become extinct?

Relevance of the project.

From birth, a child is a discoverer, an explorer of the world that surrounds him. Modern children, due to their excessive activity, cannot always find the answer to their questions on their own. Based on the interests of children, the teacher must create a fascinating world of learning that would help them develop independent research interest and a desire to engage in productive and creative activities.

The child is fascinated by everything that happens around him. Watching the children, I noticed that the children began to be interested in the ancient world and its disappeared inhabitants. When did dinosaurs live and why did they disappear - questions that children often ask. And they need to try to give the most truthful and understandable information to them. After all, there is still no clear answer about the reason for the extinction of dinosaurs. In addition, the relevance of the topic is that this is the past of our planet, and in order to look into the future, we need to know our past.

Target.

Formation of children's ideas about the era of dinosaurs.

Tasks.

1. Introduce the amazing animals of the past - dinosaurs, the variety of dinosaur species and their external features.

Explanatory note

Knowledge of history helps to develop a child’s cognitive and research abilities, and shapes his relationships with adults and peers.

Preschoolers are natural explorers. And confirmation of this is the growing curiosity in older preschool age, the desire to experiment. The teacher’s task is not to suppress this activity, but to help develop it. By older preschool age, cognitive-research activity turns into a special activity of the child with his own motives, goals, conscious intention to understand how dinosaurs lived, what they ate, why they became extinct, preschoolers strive to learn new things about the world, they want to streamline their ideas about the environment.

Hundreds of millions of years ago, dinosaurs and primitive mammals reigned on the planet. Due to natural disasters, they left behind fossilized skeletons and traces and distant descendants like turtles and crocodiles, which safely survived many earthly disasters.

One day Alemkhan brought a new toy to kindergarten. It was a big dinosaur. The guys were very interested in this unusual animal. Children asked a lot of questions about when dinosaurs lived, what they ate, and how they reproduced. In this connection, it became clear that the topic of prehistoric inhabitants of the planet is of interest to the children of our group. And we decided to find out everything about dinosaurs, the time when they lived, and, of course, the reason for their extinction. The topic of prehistoric inhabitants of the planet is not given enough attention in kindergarten, but it arouses great interest among preschoolers. Therefore, this project will help support educational initiative, expand children’s knowledge about life on earth in ancient times, develop creative abilities in children’s artistic work, teach how to create models, and enjoy jointly created work.

Appendix No. 1

Memo for parents “Tell your children about dinosaurs”

Everything secret and mysterious always attracts children. The thirst for knowledge can be satisfied during search and research activities. I suggest you expand your children’s understanding of dinosaurs - the most ancient animals on our planet. Of course, it is difficult for a child to remember all the names of dinosaurs, but it will be very interesting for him to hear the unusual names of these representatives of the fauna.

What can we tell children about dinosaurs? Dinosaurs lived a very long time ago, several million years ago, when there were no people on Earth. They can be compared to crocodiles, turtles and snakes. These are huge animals that lived both on land and in water. Among them were herbivores and predators. Dinosaurs lived in all parts of the world, their remains are still found and skeletons are collected so that people can see the owners of forests and fields who lived millions of years ago. Why did they go extinct? There is still no exact answer to this question. Some scientists believe that the Earth has become very cold. Other experts believe that solid objects fell from space, raising clouds of sand and dust, which led to a solar eclipse and climate change. Still others prove that dinosaurs were poisoned by plants.

Accompany your stories by looking at books and encyclopedias.

Search and research activities can also be carried out on the street on a summer day. Pre-prepare the dinosaur body parts by cutting them out of linoleum or plywood. Place them in a sandbox, sprinkled with sand. Tell your child that it is possible that there are dinosaur remains in your sandbox and carefully try to “find” them using brushes and spatulas. Having found all the parts of the body, invite your child to assemble a model of a dinosaur and draw it at home or sculpt it from plasticine.

Dinosaurs can be called “TV stars.” Many films are being made about the times of the Jurassic and Cretaceous periods, chilling the blood. Try to watch such films without children. Invite your preschooler to watch the animated series “Dinosaur Train.” Read fairy tales about dinosaurs: “The Tale of a Dinosaur Named Incompetent”, “The Tale of the Flying Dinosaur”, “The Tale of the Dinosaur Brothers”. Consolidate the knowledge gained by going to the zoo or creating dinosaurs with your own hands. You can make a notepad. From paper folded like an accordion, cut out the silhouette of a dinosaur your child likes. Staple the sheets of paper. Such a souvenir will appeal not only to the child, but also to his friends.

Good luck to you and your child!

We will need cardboard, colored paper, a CD, glue, double-sided tape and imagination.

1.

On a landscape sheet, draw a sketch of the panel.

2.

Transfer the details onto a sheet of colored paper. To do this, attach the sketch and colored paper to the glass and trace the parts of the dinosaur's body.

3.

Cut out the outlined parts. A child can do this too.

4.

Glue the cut-out parts onto paper of a contrasting color, add decoration (eyes, spots, webbed feet) and cut out, leaving a 2-3 mm border of contrasting paper.

5.

Trace the disk on a sheet of cardboard, calculating its location in accordance with the sketch. So that the remaining details do not go beyond the framework.

Project “Dinosaur World” in a pre-school group

Research project “The World of Dinosaurs” in a pre-school group.

Relevance of the project.

There is a boy in our group, Bogdan, who has been interested in dinosaurs since a young age and dreams of becoming a paleontologist. Once, when we were doing a project about milk, Bogdan asked: “Why can’t we do a project about dinosaurs?!” I asked the rest of the children whether they would be interested in learning about the life of ancient lizards, to which they replied that they really wanted it. Thus, the guys and I plunged into studying the world of dinosaurs and learned a lot of new things!

Project duration:

two weeks.

Project participants:

pupils of the preparatory school group, teachers, parents.

Objective of the project

: Formation of children's ideas about the era of dinosaurs, by creating favorable conditions for the realization of children's cognitive and creative abilities in the process of working on the project.

Project objectives:

  1. Introduce the amazing animals of the past - dinosaurs, the variety of dinosaur species and their external features; arouse children's interest and instill a taste for the simplest forms of research and scientific work based on the project material.
  2. To form ideas about the study of these ancient animals by scientists;
  3. Continue to develop cognitive processes: speech, memory, thinking, imagination, attention, coherent speech while working on the project.
  4. Continue to cultivate a sense of caring attitude towards living nature.
  5. Involve parents in the implementation of joint child-adult activities, create an atmosphere of common interests for the development and upbringing of children.
  6. Use work on this project about dinosaurs to create a favorable and enriched subject-spatial environment.

Project stages. Preparatory stage.

To begin with, information was collected on how familiar children were with dinosaurs. It turned out that many boys know the types of dinosaurs, and even why they became extinct, and have various encyclopedias about dinosaurs and different types of toys at home. I asked the children to bring books about dinosaurs and toys. And I was amazed at how many books and toys the children brought, which once again confirmed that the topic of the project was very interesting to them. Next, I wrote a project plan for myself and planned types of joint activities with children on the project.

Main stage.

Discussions “The Age of Dinosaurs” and “Herbivores and Carnivores” were held, where the differences between dinosaurs were explained to the children in an accessible form, and the types of dinosaurs were also shown.

Every day we looked at encyclopedias; in their free time, the children went to the books themselves and studied dinosaurs. Many can read; from encyclopedias they learned the name of this or that dinosaur. We also took a model of a dinosaur and discussed with the guys what kind of dinosaur it is, a predator or a herbivore?

In the process of studying dinosaurs, the children chose their favorite type of dinosaur. Some people liked the big Diplodocus, while others liked the predatory Tyrannosaurus rex.

Since the children had a great interest and also had a desire to draw their favorite dinosaur, I printed out step-by-step diagrams for drawing dinosaurs for the children. They enjoyed learning to draw a dinosaur step by step so that they could recognize it by its features. For example, the ankylosaur has a “hammer” at the end of its tail, and the diplodocus has a long neck.

We also compared some dinosaurs to modern animals. For example, the guys concluded that Triceratops looks like a rhinoceros, and Diplodocus looks like a giraffe. Birds - like a pterodactyl.

I printed out various games with dinosaurs, for example:

  1. Adventure game “Dinosaur World”;
  2. Mathematical puzzles "Dinosaurs";
  3. Mathematical game “How many dinosaurs?”
  4. Labyrinths "Dinosaurs"
  5. "Tail the Dinosaur"
  6. Collect cut-out pictures “The Age of Dinosaurs”.

The children also watched a presentation about dinosaurs and an educational cartoon “Where did the dinosaurs go?”

We had a fascinating activity - modeling from salt dough. The kids and I worked as paleontologists, we made fossils ourselves - we rolled out salted dough into a flat cake, and put a dinosaur figurine on it - the children were delighted!

We also made a volcano out of salt dough for the Lost World layout. And as a separate lesson we conducted an experimental activity – a volcanic eruption! The spectacle of an erupting volcano left no one indifferent! (Dilute 9% red gouache in a glass of vinegar, pour it into the mouth of the “volcano”, and then generously pour soda into it. Hurray! The eruption has begun!)

We bought a dinosaur egg that needed to be kept in water. It was intriguing for us, what kind of dinosaur would we hatch? The next day the egg shell cracked and we saw a cute dinosaur. However, he turned out to be a predator, the ancient lizard Dimetrodon, who does not hesitate to feast on other people's eggs!

The final stage.

It was decided to create a “Lost World” model, where the guys provided their dinosaurs for it.

The children were tasked with creating little books about their favorite dinosaur. Parents got involved and helped their children make amazing colorful books that the kids are still looking at!

In conclusion, the guys and I made an applique called “Dinoworld” as a keepsake of the project.
