ESSAY “I am an educator”What is a modern educator like?
“The ability to educate is still an art, the same art as playing the violin or piano well, or painting well”.
A. S. Makarenko.
The requirements for current educators are very high. Parents are sure that a kindergarten teacher must have at least a pedagogical education. He must be able to sing, dance, know all developmental techniques and actively use them in classes with children in kindergarten. As well as knowledge of age and individual characteristics, mastery of methods of working with children help the teacher to successfully lead children from group to group, raise them in development and education from step to step.
The teacher leads the unique process of formation of the human personality, incomparable in its complexity and beauty. The work of a kindergarten teacher is educational. The solution to the main task - the education of a comprehensively developed personality - includes learning in the classroom. That is, the formation in a child of a variety of knowledge, skills and abilities available to him, necessary for the successful acquisition of his native language, the elementary fundamentals of mathematics, the development of visual arts, etc. A preschool teacher teaches the child the basics of independence, rules of behavior in society, prepares the child for entering school. Preparing a child for school involves learning mental arithmetic skills, drawing, and developing fine motor skills with the help of plasticine, construction sets, and other handy tools.
The main method in teaching, developing and raising children is play. Modern, wise educators prohibit little and play a lot. After all, children live in play, seeing from their own experience how unpleasant it is when someone who is indecisive is offended, and how joyful it is to receive help when you need it.
Constant communication with the child is the most important job function of a teacher. The teacher must be able to give age-appropriate answers to many questions. The life of children in a preschool institution depends on how correctly and how quickly the teacher finds an approach to each child and is able to organize it, whether the children will be calm, affectionate, and sociable or whether they will grow up restless, wary, and withdrawn. Caring for the state of life of a child in preschool institutions, carrying out all modes of activities - eating, sleeping, hardening, walking, physical exercise - are the main responsibility of the teacher. Children are taught to tie shoelaces and fasten zippers . Use a spoon, fork, handkerchief. Correctly speak, sing, dance, draw, make friends, etc.
However, the most important thing in the work of a kindergarten teacher is his responsibility for each child. It is he who makes sure that there are no broken noses and knees, as well as broken arms and legs in the child’s life.
The teacher not only organizes the work of the children's team as a whole, but also the personal relationships between children. The appearance of the teacher plays an important role in raising children. They love it very much if the teacher is charming, neatly dressed and well-combed, cheerful and cheerful, and has a sense of humor. Pleasant appearance and gentle demeanor attract not only children, but also make a good impression on parents.
A modern educator must love children, because education is a long process that requires great patience and generosity.
The teacher must know and be able to do a lot. The task ahead is not a simple one - to teach a child to perceive and understand everything beautiful in the world; nature, music, poetry. The teacher must be able to: sew, craft, play and sing with children. A teacher should always be interesting for his children. In at least one thing, he must have some special abilities, for example: to be an excellent actor or a good singer. And he needs to read a lot. He must have a good knowledge of children's fiction.
The teacher must constantly improve his skills, using the achievements of pedagogical science and best practice. We must move forward, master innovative technologies, unconventional methods, but we must not forget the good old things, for example, oral folk art. A teacher needs a variety of knowledge to satisfy the curiosity of a modern child and help him understand the world around him.
The necessary qualities of a modern teacher are patience and kindness, because a teacher has to work not only with children, but also with parents. It is necessary to learn to respect parents, to take their opinions into account, even if it differs from the teacher’s ideas about pedagogy.
There are many professions in the world, but this profession is not chosen, SHE chooses! There are no random people here; they simply cannot live in this state. What does it mean for me to be a teacher? Not an opportunity to teach children something, raising them every moment, but to communicate with them every day, discovering new things.
Children change, and I change too. Take off. I like to talk about the world around me through the eyes of children. Find joy and satisfaction in this. For me, a teacher is not a profession, not a social position, not a job. Being a teacher for me means living.
Every morning when I come to work I see the eyes of my children. In some there is wariness, in others there is interest, in others there is hope, in others there is still indifference. How different they are! Everyone has their own idea, their own special world that cannot be destroyed, which must be helped to open up.
I am sure that children should be loved for who they are. Instill in them a sense of self-esteem and responsibility for themselves and their actions. Praise, encourage, approve, create a positive atmosphere around him.
What qualities should a modern teacher have? These are eternal values: kindness, sincerity, love for one’s work and for people, knowledge of the characteristics of child psychology, the ability to teach and create, continuous self-education and self-knowledge. A modern educator is a friend with whom you can have a heart-to-heart talk, trust your innermost secrets, and receive advice and support. He must be equally attentive and fair to everyone, so that each of them can feel his warmth, care and love in their hearts. It is important for a child to be perceived as an individual with all his strengths and weaknesses, since those around him have a special influence, among whom the teacher is by no means the least important. A true teacher is a student of his students, so a modern teacher is constantly in search. It is impossible to help with what you do not know or do yourself. Modern children, even without the help of adults, receive a huge flow of information: they watch TV, use cell phones, computers, and the Internet. This means that even higher demands are placed on the level of education of the educator of the future. Already in our time, and even more so in the future, the main task of teachers is not just to teach, but to teach how to learn, that is, to show the most convenient way to obtain information, analyze it and use it competently, so I need to learn how to work with ICT myself. I would say this: “The educator of the future should not keep up with the times, but one step forward . By receiving knowledge from the media, the child retains it in his head, we get a literate, educated person, but unspiritual. A modern teacher must not only know how to instill in a child love for his neighbor, for nature, society, work, awareness, and the value foundations of life - goodness, truth, beauty. Be an example for your child and lead an active lifestyle. Rationally plan your working day and be able to actively relax: find time to visit the theater, exhibitions, participate in the public life of the city, school, go on hikes and excursions with your family. And I’m not very good at this; I have practically no time to rest.
Yes, a modern educator must use modern pedagogical technologies, but not at the expense of the best human qualities. For all ages, a teacher remains, first of all, . ” The best source for me is folk pedagogy. If doctors and psychologists use fairy tales to treat children in difficult life situations, for teachers these are life lessons - a storehouse of folk wisdom. You can talk about good and evil a hundred times, but the result will be zero. In the hands of a modern teacher, the most perfect weapon is the word, so you need to remember the commandment: “Do no harm” and skillfully use fairy tales in your activities, taking into account the psychological and physiological characteristics of primary school age. A modern educator, I believe, should be a good storyteller and storyteller. A skillfully told fairy tale provides not so much knowledge as information for thought, and also relieves psychological and emotional stress, promotes the development of imagination and fantasy. I think being a teacher is difficult, but possible. The main thing is to learn to be happy. After all, an unhappy teacher will never raise a happy person. A happy teacher's students experience a state of happiness: they act, create, feel that they are loved and wish them well. More than two thousand years ago, Socrates said: “There is a sun in every person, just let it shine . The teacher is called upon to be an authority for children and their parents, and together with the family to solve the responsible tasks of education. The country trusts them with what is most precious—its future.

Modern educators must meet certain requirements dictated to them by our society and the new generation of children. In the Soviet Union, when the generation of children was completely different, completely different requirements were placed on educators in the preschool education system than they are now. today are very enthusiastic, curious, creative and precocious. It is this fact that makes necessary the constant and comprehensive development of the teacher as a professional personality. Another important factor in the development of a modern preschool teacher is the knowledge of non-traditional techniques of upbringing , learning and playing with children, knowledge and ability to use modern technologies in their work in order to effectively implement the recommendations of the Federal State Educational Standard.
In addition, the teacher must be an excellent psychologist who knows how to get along well with any child, finds an approach to him and be able to attract his attention. The same applies to working with parents. In the 21st century, most parents are very demanding of kindergarten teachers , and his task is not only to be a professional in his field and do quality work, but also to be able to win over any parent.
A modern educator is a person who combines the traits of a psychologist, an artist, a friend, a mentor, etc. The creative potential of a student depends on the creative potential of the educator , so great attention must be paid to the development of creative imagination. This is a person who cares about the child’s health, the psychological climate in the team, is independent and demanding, first of all, of himself.
One could list the requirements for a modern kindergarten teacher for a very long time, however, it is worth noting that all of the above requirements, and many other criteria, cannot be met without the most important thing - love for one’s profession and for children. Working with children of any age is incredibly difficult and responsible, and only boundless love for his work allows a teacher to do his job in such a way that it brings joy and benefit to everyone - himself, the children, and the parents.
