The “My Small Motherland” project helps solve issues of moral and patriotic education by instilling in preschoolers love for the Motherland, the first and important step of which is nurturing love for loved ones - family, home, hometown. A child, first of all, needs to recognize himself as a member of the family, part of a small homeland, and only then as a citizen of his large and vast homeland. This development reveals the features of organizing various types of children's activities, forms of work with project participants that promote the active involvement of parents in joint activities with the child in a kindergarten and family. The project is addressed to preschool teachers and specialists.
Ι. Introduction
At the present stage, the basis of the education system is the federal state educational standard for preschool education. One of the main principles of preschool education is to familiarize children with sociocultural norms, traditions of the family, society and state, taking into account the ethnocultural situation of children's development.
The education of patriotic feelings must begin from preschool age, because it is at this stage that the child’s personality is formed. But patriotic feeling does not arise on its own. This is the result of long-term, targeted exposure that begins in childhood. You cannot be a patriot without feeling a personal connection with your homeland. Modern preschoolers often do not feel proud of their homeland. In many families, issues of patriotic education are not considered important; parents pay less and less attention to their children. It is increasingly difficult for a child to love his home, family, city. Forming love for Russia in children must begin with the understanding that their family, home, hometown is part of a big country. From our native corner of the earth begins the huge country of Russia, of which we are all citizens. At the same time, it is necessary to create conditions for the formation of an emotionally rich image of home, kindergarten, and hometown in students. Children must learn not only to take, but also from childhood to give care for loved ones, attention to each other, help in word and deed.
One of the main means of moral and patriotic education is the project method, which develops cognitive interest in various fields of knowledge, develops cooperation skills, and opens up great opportunities in organizing joint research activities of preschoolers, teachers and parents.

Project activity is an integrated teaching method that is innovative for preschoolers. It is aimed at developing the child’s personality, his cognitive and creative abilities, when a series of classes is united by a main problem.
In addition, it is important that not only children, but also their parents are involved in the implementation of the project, which makes the learning process as effective as possible.
The project “We are the children of planet Earth” was developed for children of middle and senior preschool age with the goal of awakening a sense of home, a feeling of love for their small homeland, and then love for their native Fatherland.
Project “We are children of planet Earth”
Project passport
Type of project: educational and creative, group.
Implementation time: February - April.
Project participants: children of middle and senior preschool age, teachers, parents of pupils, music director, Exemplary Dance Theater "Plyasitsy" (artistic director Levashova L. E.)
Age of participants: children of middle and senior preschool age (4-7 years)
Educational area: the project is being implemented within the framework of the Concept of Patriotic Education of Citizens in the Samara Region (2007) in one of the areas of patriotic education of preschool children - spiritual and moral education.
Relevance of the topic:
The problem of spiritual and moral development is one of the most important problems of humanity. It acquires particular relevance during critical periods of social development. This is precisely the period our country is going through at the moment. Today, modern civilization is experiencing a number of crises. This can be confirmed by events taking place in the world: outbreaks of acts of terrorism, the emergence of conflicts based on the religious and ethnic affiliation of the population of different countries, in particular the conflict situation with Ukraine. All this speaks of the spiritual deficiency of humanity. Many authors (A.F. Akhmatov, A.V. Pankratov, Z.Ya. Bagishaev) note that the beginning of the third millennium is characterized by a violation of the unity of the spirit, soul and body of man, a gap between education and upbringing, poverty of spiritual interests, a decrease in true spiritual, cultural, national values characteristic of the Russian mentality. The destruction of the family institution continues. A way out of this situation can be a change in the educational orientation of the entire education system, starting from its very first stage - preschool. One of the main tasks of the development of education at the present stage is the child’s mastery of universal human values - cultural, social, moral, which underlie developed civilizations and are not alien to other peoples. National cultures form the basis of human culture. By introducing a child to the history, traditions, and customs of their people, parents, adults and teachers introduce him to the world of rich folk culture.
However, an analysis of pedagogical literature on this topic shows that there are practically no scientific works on the education of the spirituality of a preschooler’s personality.
Thus, there is a need for a real return of the category “spirituality” to pedagogy - in the development of content, methods, forms, conditions for the spiritual and moral development of children and youth. To solve these problems, the Concept of spiritual and moral development and education of the personality of a Russian citizen was developed (2009). Based on this Concept, a program for patriotic education of preschool children “I live on Samara land” , allowing teachers of preschool educational organizations to implement the regional component “patriotic education” .
This idea formed the basis of a project to develop a tolerant culture among preschoolers by introducing them to the culture of different nationalities of their small homeland “We are children of planet Earth .
Preschool age is the most important period in a child’s development. At this time, there is a transition to new relationships with adults, peers, and the objective world. At this time, children begin to actively develop a need for cognitive communication with adults, which is why it is so important to encourage cognitive activity and develop the desire to observe, compare, and examine.
We live in a multinational city and every child should be given the opportunity to come into contact with their national culture. Children of senior preschool age do not come into conflict with people of other nationalities, but at the same time there are manifestations of children's aggression towards each other, towards objects of nature, etc. Manifestations observed: ridicule, teasing, unwillingness to communicate with a person, manifestation of childish tactlessness, inability to behave correctly in various situations. Methodological developments for instilling moral values in children are currently insufficient; they do not always contain a regional component in their content that is acceptable for working with our children. It was the social need, the gaps in the work on teaching tolerance in preschoolers, that prompted us to begin developing a project on teaching tolerance in preschoolers. The project “We are the children of planet Earth” was compiled for children of middle and senior preschool age. A model for the formation of tolerant behavior was developed by a group of teachers at our preschool institution; the content of the educational process is based on the use of innovative pedagogical technologies. With the help of the project “We are the children of planet Earth,” we strive to bring children to the realization that there are no bad peoples and to foster tolerance.
And the main task of an adult is to support the children’s interest. Thus, we can conclude that the topic of spiritual and moral development is relevant for studying with children of middle and senior preschool age, and the use of design technology allows children to become active participants in the educational and educational processes, and also creates conditions for involving and their parents.
Project goals:
